Mickey Mouse Hat + Pants

This was so simple, yet so fun.

Not sure on my accuracy on mickey mouse though. Need to practice that a bit 🙂

There are many free patterns for this though I couldnt fine one for exactly what I wanted to make.

Here is one good one: RepeatCrafterMe
Here is another good example: FollowTheStray

Crochet Beaver Baby Hat

This is just so cute. Inspired by pintrest.

Fluffy Baby Bear Hats

Newborn baby bears? Just love these ears.

image

Just like real bear ears these have a basic off white yarn on the inside/front and a fluffy darker white on the outside/backside. A supersoft snow white edge and irregular fluffy strings with tassels.

Just need some cute tiny humans to put in these.

Big Delight Baby Sweater

I used a combination of big delight yarn and a pink and yellow dye glitter yarn for some contrast.

image

I added details such as buttons and a rose but theee are many details also in the stitches – chevron on the body and crocodile stitch on the sleeves.

image

Just love the combo of these two yarns, colors as well as texture.

Upcycled Shirt Baby Dress

I’ve tried making dresses out of shirts before but honestly I am still very new to proper textile work.

image

image

I used collar part and a piece with buttonholes from the front of the husbands retired shirt for the upper part of the dress. The bottom part of the shirt was used for the skirt part of the dress. It’s a little big for A.

image

I could have made it smaller but she’s a growing little thing.

image

The sleeves were used got straps I added buttons to make it variable in size.

Around i added a flower lace with little pearls.

Crochet Watermelon Tunic & Sunhat with Seeds

We’ve had a sunny few days and little miss A keeps throwing away her hats when you least expect it.

image

Currently my focus has been crocheting fruit themed things and using sctapyarn for various things but this one I wanted to get right.

It’s “Carolina” yarn which is easily worked and coconut shell buttons.

A never stays still for more than a millisecond thus the pictures are kind of blurry.

Lemon/Lime Baby Blanket with Border

I found a pattern for lemon and lime slices which were simple to make although they generated massive amounts of ends to weave in. They could be pot holders or coasters as other tutorials suggest. Great tutorial for the pot holder and crochet part of the fruitslice can be found here.

image

Using a basic square I managed to put them together into a blanket!
It’s not very big but perfect for the pram and its also quite warm.

For a girl it would be cool to use a watermelon theme. Yellow/green being fairly neutral. The border is quite similar to one found on this great sitethat has over 1400 free crochet diagrams.

21 Hearts Blanket

Usually when I begin a project I have someone in mind to give it to. I don’t really sell anything except for a few requests here and there. For this project I found a nice red ball of yarn. Or the red ball of yarn found me. I had to use it for something. This little baby blanket is just going to have to wait for some random baby to be born, haha.

The larger middle heart has wings and is surrounded by twenty smaller red hearts in slightly varied shades of red. Red and grey go really well together, kind of makes me think of England 1920s, can’t say why. The big heart doesnt have a pattern but is loosely inspired by the small heart square to which there is a chart.

Baby Blanket by Drops Design

My mother made this gorgeous baby blanket from a drops pattern I found. Just love the texture and dimensions, how the flowers are standing out from the background.
