Kid Food “Meatloaf Crocodile”

This gorgeous meatloaf is actually really easy to make.

Filling;
2 pieces of bread (white)
1 onion
1 tbsp oil
Parsley
100g cheese
500 g minced meat (beef)
1 egg
150 g creme fraiche or cream cheese
50 g tomatoe puree
Salt
Pepper

You”ll also need;
Puff pastry
1 egg
Whipping cream
Chopped pistachios or cashews
I raw peeled potato

Let the bread soak in water for a few minutes, peel and chop the onion. Fry it in the oil for s few minutes. Prince the parsley shake it dry and chop it. Grade the cheese.
Squeeze the bread to remove the water and test them into smaller pieces, mix in the onion, parsley and cheese. Add the minced meat, eggs creme fraiche (or cheese), tomatoe puree, salt and pepper. Mix.

Put the puff pastry flat on the bakning tray. I cheated and used ready made puff pastry. On top I shaped the crocodile, two balls of minced meat for eyes, then folded the puff pastry over until the crocodile is covered. I cut triangles of the pastry and created the spine. Whip the egg and the whipping cream then brush the crocodile covering it. Finally chop the nuts, I used cashews, and sprinkle over the spine. I used potatoes carvings for eye and teeth details.

Served with salad and mashed potatoes this is real popular with the kids.
And honestly it’s pretty cool to tell people, – “last night we served crocodile for dinner”.
